Dr. Bryan Burge
Senior Pastor
Pastor Bryan is a native of Tishomingo, Mississippi. He holds a B.S. in Theological Studies from Liberty University, a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He is married to his wife, Chelsea, and they have three kids: Hannah, Thomas, and Daniel. Bryan grew up in a pastor's home and watched his father faithfully serve as a pastor his entire life. Bryan tells people, "that he has been in the ministry all of his life and ministry is all he knows." Bryan was called to preach while in High School but tried to run from the call and pursued work outside the church. He had all intentions of becoming a High School Football and Baseball coach. In the summer of 2008, he finally surrendered to the call that God had on his life. Shortly after that, Bryan served as interim youth minister at his home church, Tishomingo Baptist, in Tishomingo, MS. Since then, Bryan has pastored two churches in Mississippi as well as his current position of Senior Pastor here at CHBC which he has held since September of 2020. His passion in ministry is to invest in people who, in return, help change a culture by creating disciples in order to convert the lost. His main goal in ministry is to use traditional core values that have worked since the beginning of the New Testament Church and implement them into the church that reaches people in the Twenty-First Century. Pastor Bryan is passionate about engaging in his community to reach others for Christ. He has designed an outreach program that he has entitled "A Church on the Go... Building a Two-Forty-Two Church." During his downtime, Bryan enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, watching sports, fishing, and growing a vegetable garden each summer. Pastor Bryan enjoys and is open to preaching revivals as well as sharing his view of ministry to other churches in whatever setting that may look like.
